I have spoken to a few friends about the idea of forming a collective to create some quality games for the GP32. I know that a lot of the homegrown stuff is superb, and the quality of the emulators is stunning considering the machine specs...
We (a collection of professional games programmers and artists/producers) would intend to create quality native games for the GP32 with shareware levels and full versions available on purchase. The games would be extremely polished and original.
The question is, would you be prepared to pay, say, £5 for a top quality GP32 game? Because of the nature of the community I don't believe people would pirate the games too much, even if they oculd get around the encryption, which I believe is not impossible..
So. let me know what your views are.. I know the installed base is somewhere between 15-150 thousand units, depending on which report you believe to have the typo ;-) so we would not be in it to amass a fortune, but the time and effort to co-ordinate and produce higher quality games should not go unrewarded, I feel.
Thanks for your help.
