Windows Xp Usb Problem

WinXP's USB support isn't the greatest, try booting with a Linux live CD to see if Linux recognizes the GP2X, if it does you know this is a software problem. I post my instructions on how to clean up all kinds of USB stupidity here:

I don't have a GP2X yet, but this method has helped me with other USB devices that have problems being recognized by WinXP.

None of my Linux distro's SuSe 9.1, Puppy live, Kubuntu live, recognise it.

I really don't have a clue for you since I haven't gotten mine yet. I would have expected proper kernel support in atleast one of thoese distrobutions. You could always try my XP USB Cleanup method and see if it helps.

DOnt you have to disable USB 2 to format it or something?
