I think what prometheus is getting at is that CC (being a shady lying american company) may not be right in screwing us all, however given their past performance they could just as easily default on their agreement with OP if they felt harassed. You know, because we americans have trouble taking criticism...especially businesses.
So very, very true.
Something was bugging me, so I just had to go and look it up...
I was remembering correctly:
People bashing CircuitCo. here on the forum has caused problems before. If that's caused problems before, when people were saying things *here*, I can only imagine what a call to directly harass them as spoken about above would do, since the team apparently need to retrieve their parts from there, now.
I will address the last sentience at the end...
I read the thread, 6 pages. Some funny stuff. Some very informative, and rather interesting arguments. i didn't know about the nub delay effecting their ability to do their job. To bad they didn't say anything to ED. I threw a few things I saw interesting below. I didn't want to clutter my post to much, And I don't want to dredge up the issues that were very thoroughly covered. But I wanted to grab a few things.
ED said:
Please,
do NOT bash against CircuitCo here.
If you want to discuss about any issue, please do so in an appropriate manner.
Me:
I think so far this has all been a rather appropriate discussion. So I feel justified.
ED said:
Yes, I also don't like that we have been told they were working on the boards - but
maybe they had a reason for telling us so?
Me:
ED you are such trusting man.
ED said:
If all they had been waiting for was the nubs and the production continues work flawlessly now, there is
NO REASON to stop working with them or be angry against them.
Me:
And ED you are so very, very kind.

"In the industy, companies have a large amount of cash to make a project. They can try and fail on some parts, they can put in competition several suppliers. If a supplier does not respect deadlines, they have sufficient money to switch to another supplier and meanwhile launch costly and long legal action against the first one, who signed a contract with constraints because it was interested in the juicy contract.
OP is a community financed project. Well, events proved this concept wrong: they don't have enough cash to make mistakes, they can't switch easilly, and therefore are sent to the bottom of the priority list of suppliers because they are not a threat."
I agree with this argument. And I would like to build upon one point. The idea is the current mind set, BUT it doesn't have to be this way. As this excerpt points out, OP is a community project. And though OP is just a tiny company, the community isn't. I believe we have a unique opportunity to cause change. To band together and protect our communities investments.
I read into that board that the previous board was removed because ED had said something. Then the community responded aggressively. I never got to read the topic, but I would guess that was a bad thing. ED can't do that. Not as an owner of OPT. I still believe we can and we may want to. Prometheus stated that OP still needs to get it's parts back. As far as I am concerned that is my decision maker. If they come though and don't cause any trouble, I will be happy, assuredly I will cause them no major grief. If they try to screw this company any more then they have, I believe I will have something to say. Perhaps much to say. But as I said in one of my first posts. CC still has a chance to redeem themselves, at least partially. I would love to see it.
