Yep, just found out how to change the skins a few minutes ago, then I jumped into trying to make my own skin without thinking anything through. Nothing big, just changing the files named 'body' to my own jpegs, renaming them as 'body'.
Now, I can't get to any folders (let alone files) on my GP2X. I'm thinking here the only solution is to format my card, or does it write the skin to the NAND memory? :(

... the images are not in .jpg format .. they use .png or .bmp ....

Use common sense, will ya? Why did you change the file type when you saved them?

You could always get the default skin, re-install it and start over ...

I know, I know, I was stupid...
I've downloaded the default skin, any place you can suggest I put it where I will be able to access it?
Currently, the only thing I can get to is the speaker settings, in the root of my SD...

Gah!
Sorted! Turned out that, such was the messed-upness of my "skin", that it was opening the NAND memory when I selected SD and vice-versa. Going back to that lovely MS Paint one now :D
