What About Quake Live?

There is a possibility the the Linux plugin will work on the Pandora (or if they release source of the linux version (maybe...)). But the game would still require flash what won't be on the pandora at the launch.

Yet, a Linux version is being developed (English Wikipedia)
probably an x86 Linux version.

A native Quake3 would be a better idea because with that you also get support for every single mod for it ever made(as long as they are compiled QVMs, rather than DLLs).

Playing on a Pandora against people using a big screen, keyboard and mouse, is also quite, well, unfair. A Pandora-only server would be awesome. :D :p
Heh, try preventing those pandora users from connecting peripherals via usb and using their TV-out.

Wouldn't it be better to forget Quake Live and other similar services (eg. Steam) and build our own community driven online gaming service? Would be a lot of work, but it could be supported by ads (to pay the server and bandwidth costs) and could use a ton of games, including Q3, homebrew games and maybe even some Emulators.

There is at least one project underway to try to do that: TINXL

TINXL is where I got the idea for the TINCS name from.
