War in Ukraine

I don't understand
The Ministry of Labour of Russia has requested 230,000 certificates for family members of deceased combat veterans and over 750,000 combat veteran certificates, which is several times more than before.
What is a "combat veteran certificate" ? a paper for a retired soldier ? or disabled soldier ? or any of both cases ?
And how many relatives of the same soldier can get certificates for family members?
These are just stationery orders, not issued certificates, but the increase is significant.
How can leaders send so many people to die ?

If I understood correctly it's indeed soldiers that are retired and some of them are now deceased.
The idea being they might be hiding their current losses in this group of retired soldiers group due to this major increase in requests.

Now it looks like Ukraine is not only waging war at home and in Russia, but it would be also attacking Wagner-related paramilitaries in Sudan, near Nile in the vicinity of the capital city.
Not sure I understand why. Either getting paid somehow by the Sudanese government, or disrupting Russia's income, or...?. But I thought any Ukranian special operatives had enough work at home...
They also say the Kremlin looks to have managed to control Wagner and Wagner keeps operating in Africa after the death of Prigozhin.

Wait for NATO to get involved. So far everyone's been desperate not to get NATO involved, because that would more or less directly lead to WW3. I'm not convinced this is a great thing to archive, there's a bit of russian disinformation in this thread, because it's more or less impossible to distinguish between that and the truth without more context.

We're not officially there yet but feels like we might be getting close.

Russia claims NATO is provoking direct conflict:

They always say this yet never push the button. Putin is chicken. He knows America can be bitterly vindictive and gets people like Noriega, Hussein, Bin Laden, Hamas (ffs), etc. If Putin kills Americans he will never sleep well again. Also, Russian nuclear bombs don't work (my sources tell me).

I'm disappointed that NATO is preparing to send troops. They should just send an inter-continental ballistic drone to Putins bedroom. I guess he lives in bunker... I'll bet he has a suicide plan.

I agree. NATO and especially Germans act quite cowardly.
Ukraine could have kicked out the Russians easily if we provided them with proper weapons right from the beginning.
I have huge respect for France these days.

You obviously don't know which mafia puppets Macron, which is part of the same family as Zelen-nautic-sky.

All I know is that Putin launched an attack on a sovereign country. He also obviously lied like "I won't attack Ukraine" (and attacked a few days after.
He also threatened openly to take some isles of the baltic sea.

I'd rather have the unspecified Macron mafia thn to side with someone who can not be trusted and shares some very similar behavior patterns with Hitler during his early invasion days.

A conspiräcy theory without ant proof is way weaker than observable actions.

I'm usually on the side of the group of people that doesn't get me killed. But it feels like it's harder to know which side that is these days.
So for that I agree: I judge on the side that I can observe acting in my interest.
But there I run into the first issue again, stories are twisted and information differs based on which source you use. So I mix sources and it feels like there are some arguments from both sides.
So I have to abstract and conclude that invading a country was a bad idea and this causes massive loss of life. Maybe it's thinking too simple, but whatever reason there could be the choice for war was a bad one.

That. Not only did it cost life but ade living more expensive and had an economical impact.

One has also view this from a strategical perspective through a pure military/numbers lense. If we bleed out the Russians now, we are hopefully done with them before they and China combined become too powerful. So it's cheaper for the west to ramp up the support for Ukraine gradually and exhaust the Russia at the cost of Ukraine.
After that we can focus on keeping down China and become the only superpower again.

True, but the monetary system has been breaking down for years now. So war is probably a result of that and not the other way around. While the war and sanctions obviously have a direct impact now, without it everything would so good either.

Follow the money and the truth magically appears.
Any quotes or links to dive into that claim?

Just find out who's paying the politics, e.g. for campaigns.
It's easy to find.

I am speaking only for Germany here. And Germany was overly dependent on Rusian gas (and maybe oil, not sure). That temporary shortage had an inpact on German energy prices and caused a certain increase in price I'd say. I am not 100% sure about that, but I know for certain that there was some short panic at first once the pipeline was gone and sanctions were put in place.

I am sorry to say but such statements and behavior is very similar to how people who bellieve in conspiracy theories act.
Apparently it is not so obvious for me and others. Maybe it is for French citizens with more insight but for an outsider there is no easy googling by intuition/known obvious facts.

Having family in the gas business here:
There never was a gas shortage.
The oppside, tanks where so full they had to blew this stuff into the sky.
There is a contract that caused this confusion, the TLDR is:
We MUST buy russian gas and we MUST send it through our pipes.
If russia sends no gas we can not just fill in our own (of which there was plenty) because its not an open marked.
And with everyone trying to save gas in that time the part that we where allowed to deliver went down so far that it needed to be vented to the air.

Biomass gasing is already at the point where we can just cut off all pipes to russia, it will even be cheaper despite being more expansive to produce (by cutting the middlemans and bribes), but here is the thing: We will lose so much in taxes, thats why we still burn fossil gas.

The way I see it, Macron isn't an agent of one entity in particular. He's just an agent of big companies and rich people. And I don't think it's just because he's getting paid for it (though he is, there is for example a clear proof that he had been paid by Uber to pass laws so that they could do business in France), but also because he's been born and raised in a culture where people are convinced (or convince themselves) that giving more money to the rich is best for everyone ("trickle-down economics" and other similar disproved bullshit).

As for his support of Ukraine in the war, there's generally a big difference between what he claims and what he'll actually do. Ukranians used to say that someone is "Macronizing" when they talk a lot but do nothing.

Might be im quite stuck in an black an white view, but i dont think Putin would ever agree in Peace Meetings . .. he would lost his face, therefore he was too long KGB Agent back then in Berlin.. he would rather attack the Nato then pull his army back out of the Ukraine..

If he would Nuke an Nato State, this would end up in an Real Life Fallout Scenario, but whitouth the Vaults ..
(in fact: There are not that many Bunkers left in Germany, the Gouverment got a big one, but whe are doomed if something happens ..)
