War Chaos -new Project-

That game looks really amazing, but I'm also interested in the RPG game you're porting. The version you are porting seems to be a sidescroller version, but your PC version screenshots seems to be a more 3d environment, do you have 2 versions of this game? Or are different parts of the game different styles? I would love to see something like what I saw in the screenshots near the bottom of your page on the GP2X! ^_^

Is porting the right word, idd, in these instances? I sort of get the impression that you're more re-implementing the world in a different style (but programming from scartch) rather than directly bringing PC code to GP2x. In the sense that, say, Ys exists on many different platforms in rather different styles which probably don't share that much in terms of code, but basically have the same concept.

I agree with you now, but at the time I made that post, I made it from the assumptions I could make of the base language for the site. I didn't notice the English link until AFTER I made the post. ^_^;

plz dont try and persuade people to charge money, he's doing this kickass project for fun and out the good will of his heart, if you feel he needs payent, donate to him.
but not everyone has money, e.g me. Not everyone has a full time paid job

Hi again friends, and again, thanks for your posts. ;)

About the commercial question, yes, this is something that i have thought but in this moment i only want end the basic game and then i will think in it.

About the contest, I would like participate in it with my two projects.

About the map creation, In this moment with Photoshop, text editor and FPG Edit you can make maps if you follow some instructions, when i end the game skeleton i will explain how make maps.

About the shareware idea, thanks, i will think in it, its a good idea.

The Pc version of the "Legends of Idhuriel" is made with Blitz3D and GP2X version is made in Fenix.

The enviroments in GP2X have been adapted for 2D view, but they are made with the same objects that in 3D version. (houses, carts, etc..)

Muncher666 i have access the site now and works!!! try again in few minutes please.

Thanks a million friends.

Greetings

Yeah worked fine for me on Firefox yesterday

It just times out for me too. I'm in Australia. Perhaps your website is on the secret list the Australian government maintains of websites Australians aren't allowed to see. We're not actually allowed to see the list either, so we have no way of knowing what is being blocked. It's very sad.

Anyway, youtube link anyone?

Holy! When I saw their RPG in the works I thought "That looks fantastic, but the character moves way too slow."

I pretty much think the same thing here. That's incredible work! I'm so happy I have a GP2X!

I'm in Australia, I can view the site and my ISP DOES block that list of sites, so that isn't it.

You can take the tin-foil hats off for the moment. ;)

Awesome looking screenshots. I'm looking forward to a demo!

I've been looking for a site that had PHPProxy installed for forever! Thanks. XD (I had no problem viewing the site tho' so I don't need a roundabout way)

I think the idea of making a game commercial is cool as long as the price does not get too high, I think about 10-20€ is great, and well, the less money you charge the more people are likely to buy the game....

Additionally, I believe it is of utmost importance that every game is released with a pretty easy-to-use, functional and well documented editor, because they are very, very important for the replay value. I would be pissed off if I had to pay for every 10 missions...

Is there even such a thing as a secret government list of sites that .au's can't visit?
I live in Aus too and I would like to think that you are just kidding!

As far as I know all information like that has to be entered into our ISP TOS Contracts. I have read mine and it says nothing of the sort.

Iirc, Australia has a national blocklist (so since it's not something the ISP is doing, but rather something the government is doing, you don't need to have it in the ISP contract... probably) of child porn sites, basically. However, since they don't declare the list, it's impossible to verify if that is the case.

But then, in order to verify it, you'd probably have to go to all those child porn sites in the first place to make sure they were such sites... so it's a bit of a catch 22, really, even if the list was open.

But unless it's been removed recently, there is such a blocklist in place...

Most countries have something similar.
They're supposedly only used in extreme cases, but who can tell?

In the UK, BT were recently "done" for returning 404s when blocking the forbidden sites (should be 403).
That's from memory, and I can't find any news stories on it (could be blocked), so don't take it as the gospel of Wite_Noiz.
