When I attempt to adjust the volume using the mixer or the contol in Gnome media player, it automatically cycles between low and high and doesn't stop. What's going on? This has happened to me on all hotfixes (I'm now on 3 beta (and enjoying good sound finally)).

Thanks.

I remember a vid on the German Boards showing this, so it must be some kind of bug, but I don't know the details.

edit:
Roughly translated: You have to activate the software mixer in preferences.

Just checking, you know there's a volume wheel on the unit, right?

Thanks, I of course did know that, but it doesn't explain or fix why the software is doing this and it can't be only me. It's a standard OS image with no tinkering done by me at all.

^ Did you try what I posted above? That's the fix ED suggested on the German boards.

I didn't initially understand where the preferences menu was (I thought it might be somewhere in the OS rather than app based) but once I found in in Gnome player I modified it and it behaves properly now. Thanks!
