From the included readme.txt:
What?
=====
VNS-SC is a story checker for VNS stories. VNS-SC does some simple
syntax checking, tries to spot places where VNS might hang (eg.
lines over 300 characters) and does a resource check to see what
image/sound files are missing or what image/sound files are not used.
Why?
====
I just wrote this utility to check my own VNS demos and to test the
stories people send to me when they are having problems.
This utility is in no way perfect or fool proof but might come in handy
for people who are writing there own VNS stories.
How do I use it?
================
Unzip all the files from the VNS-SC.ZIP into one directory. From there
start vns-sc.exe. If you get messages about missing DLLs just google
or let me know at VirtuaLeech@jpopmail.com. After the program has started
choose a VNS story and press "Check story". After a while a report will
appear (or not if there is nothing wrong with the story) For VNS-SC to do
a resource check your resource need to be in the same place as they would
be for VNS. So either in a ZIP file in the same directory as the story or
in a sub-directory with the name defined in STORYDIR.
Will it work on my PC?
======================
VNS-SC was written under Windows XP and tested under Windows 2000.
I have not tested it, nor do I guarantuee it to work, on any other Windows version.
You can download the zip file here
