yeah
that s the BIG News everybody was waiting for

toholl just told me he succeed mouting and writing on a usb memory stick
that s for the good news [ it means you can connect a 20GB Hdd usb drive too]

the bad news : you need external 5V power

you can check our cvs

http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/gp32...ev=1.3&view=log

-----------------------
i will test in a few days
my usb memory stick
AND ..... my usb wifi stick ! [ that s harder]

Coolbeans!

This is also one step closer to a possible USB-to-USB connector to exchange files and such, I hope. With external power, of course. :)

omfg best news ever, imho even better as fgen or os9xgp (no offense) :D :D :D !!
does this only support usb 1.0 or 1.1 or even 2.0?

ps: btw i cant believe toholl and ingeras still dont have guru status :)

We could build our own usb cased modded hd's taped to the gp32!!
With batterypacks or ac adaptors.

Then add a chatboard, and voila, a complete PC

hmm wrote my comments about this in the other thread...
but what do you think about a complete forum on gp32x for gplinux?
i think that the people get more and more intrested in gplinux so i think a own forum would be a good idea.

gp32 usb port is usb 1.0 or 1.1
but usb 2.0 is backward compatible with usb 1.0

Wooo, nice work guys. Will be perfect for looooong trips away from a pc. I could mod a nice harddisk up so transfer roms and games across and swap stuff :D.

but don't i need a adapter?? i mean the gp32 usb cable has a usb output and the usb-stick too. so i need a double input adapter!!! is that right?
if thats right, where can i get it?

Nobody has asked that before?? :p
i think its an important question!!

ok there is an adapter. but i have never seen this before.

but to understand it:
when i own this adapter, and connect my gp32 with my usb-stick, and then i'm using the gp32 linux fxe.
my gp32 can't read from the usb-stick. is that right?
haven't understand what to do with the external 5v.
do i need it to make the un-powered gp32 usb port powered???
