Ever since upgrading to firmware 2.1.1 I've been unable to copy files to my SD card using the USB cable. I have Windows XP Pro and used to copy files to and from my SD all of the time but now I can read the card, copy FROM the card but when I try to delete files or add files the card reverts back to what it was before as soon as I reboot. If I delete files they stay, if I ass files they take up space on the card but don't show up and the card goes all wonky and needs scandisk to fix it again. Copying to the NAND works fine, it's just the SD card. Oh, it's a PNY 1GB and it works fine with a card reader... thanks.

The quick answer is to forget the GP2X USB and use the card reader (its faster anyway).

Try reformating your card. Just save everything off of it with the card reader and format it to FAT32.
