What do you guys think of this? The source has been released, and when the Wi-fi thingy is released, we could play on the internet.

Mmm, I'm not a hardware expert but... the min. system requirements for Quake 2 are 90 MHz processor, 16 MB RAM, and the minimun system requirements for Unreal Tournament are 200 MHz processor and 32 MB RAM... actually you can play Quake 2 on the wiz but not at fullspeed, so thinking in playing UT in the wiz... could be possible in a future, but I doubt it could go better than quake 2 at this momment.

Quake 2 on the Wiz only uses the software renderer and not the GPU at the moment.

So you guys don't think it'd happen for a while?

It would be possible if the source code is available. But I think icurafu is right: There is no source code yet...
