Ubuntu


I'd be interested to know if the latest Ubuntu development image boots on it. Download it here. It uses a 4G (minimum) SD card, class 6 (issues in kernel with some sdhc cards - class 6 works best on beagleboard). The image will expand the root partition on first boot to fill the SD Card, which takes ~10 minutes. It then will boot into X with an OEM-intaller that will prompt for user info. That's it. No need to install it to another device. And it won't muck with nand.

I am not on the purchase list for one yet (wife insisted on getting our car transmission fixed). Hopefully I can get on the next batch.

Particularly if it it then possible to add the Pandora to the list of supported devices. I guess that would require canonical to have machine for testing, but it might interest Craig.

Tried that image, although it wasn't too clear how to. On a FAT card, it just sits there reading xxx.image.gz
