Hello

I just put the PND in SD/pandora/desktop

then I put the kickroms called kick13.rom kick20.rom and kick31.rom in SD/pandora/appdata/kickstarts

When I double click o the icon I get a message of missing kickrom

Am I missing something?

Hi,

Are the kickstarts 256kb in size or 512kb? Only the 512kb ones work.

The directory they go in should be pandora/appdata/aue4all/kickstarts

I also write this readme which I am hoping will be included in the PND.

That's strange, I have only ever seen them 256kb or double at 512kb. I never seen one 524kb

512KB == 524,288 bytes.

Thanks Steve

@paolofanin - The emulator doesn't support all of the kickstarts you have listed. The following are supported:

1.2 - should be named kick12.rom

1.3 - should be named kick13.rom

2.0 - shoudl be named kcik20.rom

With regard to using the emulator and getting it to work I would do the following - delete the pandora/appdata/uae4all directory (make sure there is nothing in there that is your own, roms etc.). Run UAE4all, it will then create a new pandora/appdata/uae4all directory. Put the above kickstarts in pandora/appdata/uae4all/kickstarts and see if that works.

thanks everybody

I got it working

OK, this is driving me nuts. I have /pandora/appdata/uae4all/kickstarts/kick.rom (512Kb 1.3 version) and every time I try to run uae4all, I get the Amiga background with "KICK.ROM not found. Press any button to retry"

I've tried putting the uae4all pnd and the kick.rom on both sd's and nothing ever works.

Hi,

if you are putting the rom in /pandora/appdata/uae4all/kickstarts/ try renaming it kick13.rom instead. I think the kickstart folder is where you keep seperate kickstarts 1.3, 2.0, etc

Alternatively put the file named kick.rom into just the uae4all folder.

E.g

/pandora/appdata/uae4all/kick.rom

Does that work?

Finally, thanks. Putting kick.rom in appdata/uae4all/ worked, and putting kick13.rom and kick20.rom in the kickstarts folder worked also, but just putting kick13.rom in the kickstarts folder by itself didn't.

Although, with 1.3 and 2.0 both in there, how do I choose which one?

Nevermind, found it in the off screen menu option.

Hi, is there a way to remap the key buttons,

like pressing A, B, X or Y in order to jump instead of just pressing UP on the d-pad?

Thanks

You can use different buttons for jump eg Superfrog The original game used up for jump but mapping a buton is way better.

You will find it in the menu

You mean in Superfrog's game menu or in UAE4ALL menu?

In the UAE menu, I think you press the B button for more options, that'll allow you to select various control configurations

No problem. Glad to get another person enjoying the joys of Amiga on the Pandora!

Sure is.. But it would be great if the little niggly problems with UAE4ALL could be fixed :)

Being an an Amiga owner is a great advantage in using the emulator.

The hard drive setup is a must really works and plays most installed games.

Say goodbye to those adf's once and for all

The Amiga is my favorite emulator.
