I've been using VirtualVCR to record TV programs from the TV card, but even though you can set up Video and audio compression in VirtualVCR, I still have to post-process with VirtualDub before I can view in GPcinema. I've tried capturing with VirtualDub but with no success. Has anyone managed to directly record from a TV card , and view the result in GPCinema ?

your machine would have to have some good horsepower to do it--capture 30 frames per second and compress in real time is no small feat. When i run my 2200+ on a virtualdub job i get 15-25 frames per second in virtualdub depending on what i'm asking it to do.

how do you maintain a/v-synch?
no matter what i try, it'll go out of synch after some minutes,
although no frames dropped.
by the way, i manage to encode directly to xvid (at 15fps, about 100kbps, 320x240). the only thing i need to do before it works in gpcinema is a
direct stream copy of video and audio in virtual dub
(guess virtual VCR writes a bad header into the avi)
