Hiya all

Please don jump on me as this is my first post!
Seeing all the other games that have been ported I got to thinking, would it be possible to port the original Tomb Raider game to the GP32?

I know the source code for TR1 was available on-line in the past ( I know coz I downloaded it for a friend who was going to attempt to write a primative level editor for it )

the game run on a 90 mhz PC so, theoreticly it should be possible? or is it just wishful thinking?

:p

TR1 is open-source?
can you give a link to prove that?
maybe it was a stolen source code... or maybe it was someones source code from a remake version

wasn't tomb raider a console game
i have never heard of a console games source code being released

i don't think that the company that licensed them to make the game for their console would let that happen

Theres no way the source was released, and if it was stolen, I think we would all know about it.

EDIT: There are on going requests for the source here.

more posible than you think ;)

Tomb Raider has already been ported to the ipaq so all it sould take to get tombraider running on the Gp32 is a port of windows ce :D

To the best of my knowledge Windows ce is open source and supports most gp32 hardware and you can freely distrabute you own windows ce as long as its not for profit

not sure about 8mb ram because windows ce normally halfs the ram storage and system but it could probably be changed

EDIT:I remeber reading up that someone had started working on it but abandoned it and left some instructions on how to setup a build. anyone know the page ?
Thanks

Dont see why not as Windows ce supports gp32 hardware
only downfalls I could see would be no touch screen (have to work in a mouse/jp driver) and maybe have some ram issues

Hi Exo :)

you remember well coz FireFly already start to explain how to make a build of Windows CE for GP32 ;)
it's Here and if you have enough knowledges to try it then it would be definitly too great (I admit I don't have enough knowledges) ;)
