Dude, it totally is! A NES emulator should not require a Pentium 4 to run smoothly, it's terrible. I used to be able to get good, smooth NES emulation on my 686 (a pentium clone)..
Allan.
I've never noticed it go slow but i have a relatively decent PC but in that respect all the others i have tried run rather slow
but its not the speed to which i attribute its greatness it more compatible than the other emus I've seen and allows you to manipulate the tiles shown which most emus just crop off loosing some of the picture plus its the only NES emulator i've seen that actually auto detects a pal ROM and plays it properly where all others you have to manually choose
plus can output it perfectly to TV and its just like the original but better quality obviously since the original nes only had crappy old RF or Composite
You're missing the point, dude. It's so, so over bloated with features that it requires a computer that could run Doom 3 properly. More to the point, the features seem fairly tacked on top of each other to acheive this result, otherwise it'd run on a slower machine. This all basically means there's no way in hell it'll run on our favorite black box.
Allan.
I hate to break it to you girls, but back in the day. Before the GP32's turned yellow. There was a Golden era, a glorious time. A time when holding a white elecronic device in your hand, got you called names by the bigger ;more stronger; cooler kids who thought the GBA clamshell was king, and would have willingly kicked sand in my face if I didn't live so far from a beach(and a sandy one at that).
Two emulators authors had a "dance off" with what became some of the finest emulators on any platform since callus, They were called fNES and Little John running at 133Mhz Girls(non of this 200Mhz how do I use Hardware stretching, and the second processer) and they were the dogs gonads. People talk about early MAME(it sucked), or FinalBurn(system16), or when CPS2 emulation happened with XOR's. I had Raine running 24/7 when Mame couldn't cope with Taito fun, but nothing compares to those(Little John had it with a cooler splash screen) emulators and they were only Nes emulators(and yes I had Nesticle). Kids still tease us old folks with rumors of Little Johns return or F(**king never)-Day happening, but we don't mind we just make clicky noises when we move the joystick on the GP2X and remember the good times.
