THE NUMBERS IMAGE THREAD!

Less than 50 preepreeorders in the preorder,
What will happen to the remaining 150 prepreorder serialnumbers if they ditnt order until Pyra is out??
I know they will sit on your shelf and you will email they
But how do you know, which Pyra to put on your shelf??
The prepreorder wasn't for a spezific Modell (2GB/4GB/4G US/EU )
I payd my preorder whit klarna so this should be safe

I knew I had paid, I was just double checking for everyone. I wasn't sure what ED meant by his statement though, with regards to my "order was recent" and "likely paying at some time." Still doesn't make any sense.

He was making a joke about your username.

I didn't take it as a joke, and assumed he meant some people he recognised as previous customers, so gave them a little more time to pay than other people. But silenthunter may well be right, German jokes sometimes just come over like double Deutsch to me ;)

But that still doesn't make any sense, maybe for others, but his response was directed at my specific post and I paid at time of pre-order.
If it is a joke it's certainly way over my head. Dunno. I'll just leave it waaaaay out there...

I had planned to preorder last weekend...but, after realizing that the total cost for importing a Pyra to Brazil would amount to 1170,39 EUR, plus an extra amount for customs clearance that I cannot calculate in advance, well...I gave up.

It's a shame, really. :-(

As soon as they are in stock, I guess Ithic.com will sell them in North America and it may get a lot easier and cheaper for South American customers, I believe.

wow, that sucks. doesn't matter if it's originating in US or europe...

Yep...it's kinda like that. 60% over price + shipping cost, then 18% (it's not 17% anymore) over the last total. Plus the customs clearance. And I don't know if it would be subject to IPI.

Sure there's a lot of worse places than Brazil. But it sure sucks big time in here - a country full of great resources, but badly managed.

What about if someone sends you one, like a gift, instead of you purchasing it? Are there massive fees for gifts?

That is madness. How about if this comes as a kit you assemble yourself, are there differences? Or maybe ED could give you a "special discount" for some reason. Not advocating tricking the law here. *looksforcoughdrops*

As it is today, there are no gifts. Everything above a hundred bucks pays the 60% import tax. Above 500, 60% + 18%...

Brazil is a pretty mad place...

Since the Pyra is built to be repaired, I assume that, at some point, replacement parts are going to be sold at Dragonbox. I intend to buy all of them, not at the same time, and then build the device at home.

Discounts, unreal values...well, anything lying about the values is not the answer. It's bad for the seller and risky for the buyer, who may end up being fined...and paying double (over all the previous price, shipping and craptaxes).

wow. at that point it's almost worth buying a ticket to Germany and bringing one back.

but i suppose you get hit at customs in the airport?

Yeah. But then, you pay only (hah...) 60% over what exceeds US$500. So if I have US$700 worth of stuff, tax is gonna be US$120.
