The Lesser Talked About Consoles.

Firefly has got Beneath a steel sky working on the giz, homebrew is on its way for the gizmondo :)

The number of pixels dosent neccesarily dictate the size of your screen, from what I can tell you can still have a largerscreen and not be 320x240. Otherwise every mini tv would have the same size screen.

damn I remember when magazines used to feature that system and how they said it'd NEVER come out here. Great, the Magic Engine guy$ are creating an emulator for it... sigh.

Is there even a source for the games? not that I'm asing for sources of course but I dont think I've ever seen anyone offer up PCFX roms/isos.

Just to let you know XE http://www.xe-emulator.com/index.php?m=status
for emulator I like XE, and its free.

I've never ever seen it magazines, normally when consoles are mentioned that I've never heard of they are always really old.

I don't think getting the games is that much of a problem, Its the learning Japanese that would kill me. but with games like "Graduation II: Neo Generation FX a simulation where you try to get five teenage girls though high school!" its got to be worth it.

Actually most dating games are pretty much like VNS games simply choose the right selection of choises. And that part tends to be easy since there's only 3 choices at most, Agressive/Negative, Submisive/Positive and Moderate/Passive the tricky part is navigating that maze.

The other games seem generally easier though, more like the old laser disk arcade games like Dragon's Lair, Time Gal or Cobra Command. The magazines I used to see it in were stuff like way early early copies of EGM and Videogames & Computer Entertainment. All that japanese motion video animation was like candy to me back then... and still kinda is!

The free Emu looks generally tight, wonder if I really can get a hold of the games...

hahaa, that is one funny looking game.
and man, i've never heard of the PCEFX before, either.

this game looks good, whatever it is!

Yeah because I totally need to be playing Way or the Warrior on the go... *snort* LOL

I'm sorry I just couldn't help that, I've just never found many 3DO games worth playing, but it does almost sound feasible.

Actually the resolution was truly 320 x 240. They used line doubling to "fake " the extra resolution.

It's actually Star Control 2, not Star Control. There's a rather BIG difference... ;)

Star Control is already available on the Genesis, but it's a very different game.
