Every time i tell my pandora to shut down (by clicking on shutdown) it restarts, i am probably doing something stupid.

You cannot shut the Pandora off while the charger is attached. The Pandora can't charge in an off state, seeing that it' plugged in it reboots instead of shutting off. The best way to charge it is to put it in sleep mode and close the lid.

Does the pandora automaticly go to "sleep mode" or "charging mode" when you charge the device or do you have to do it all per hand?

Ideally, you should never have to power the Pandora completely off. That's they way it was designed. A simple flick of the power switch puts it into sleep mode, so it's not a big deal to plug it in, flick the switch and walk away.

There is not such thing as "charging mode" yet, as far as I know. That's why the Pandora reboots to the full OS when it's completely off and then plugged in. Even if you forget to put it into sleep mode, it's still going to reach full charge, just not quite as quickly.

I actually had this at first, and wrote it off as a bug that'll get ironed out, but now it's gone and it behaves perfectly everytime. Weird how it just cleared up, but then I've been messing around with loads of things so I can't say what I did that had the side effect of fixing it. Certainly was happening before and after hotfix 1 but it's been working for a (relativly) long time before I installed hotfix 2.

Basicallly I'm just saying - yes, it happened to me too, but now it doesn't and I'm happy for that.

You were probably charging at the time before. Try plugging in the charger and try again, see if it comes back up on you ;)
