I have heard of someone setting up a web browser using a usb dongle, and gp32linux, being as gp32 linux does not currently come with a browser and ethernet support, i was wondering if the kernel came installed with an ssh client? this would be a sort of psuedo way of browsing the net on the gp, thanks.

you can run various webbrowsers on it and you can use usb wifi sticks.
yes you can also conenct with a terminal to it.

for pseudo browsing as you say, you can do it with telnet
i didnt compile ssh yet, as it is not so easy, i have to read how they did it for ipaq, and use their patches ...
i have to compile some telnet server too
so i can telnet to the gp
but i really dont have much time this days, not easy to find a cool job, as everybody wants people with experience ... :(

by the way, i have subscribed to <nanogui@linuxhacker.org> , nanogui mailing list, and zeng_pengcheng sent me some binaries for the browser i wanted to compile (viewml), have to test it today or tomorrow

oh, for ssh you were thinking about remote display under x ?
yes that s an idea
i have to compile some vncclient maybe ?
( and buy another wifi stick ^_^ )

I had a version of openssl libraries compiled some time ago (with openembedded)

I will work on it again in a few days, I keep you updated. But I have to buy a usb->eth adapter first...

Are there actually various web browsers on gp32linux, as vimacs says, if so, what are they? thanks.
