As more and more news has started coming out about the XGP, more threads are starting to appear about it. Maybe it is time to add a new section just for the XGP and XGPmini.
I'm guessing that the GP2X and XGP are both currently in the same section, because they were both "next gen" when that section was created.

Disagree XGP is not a launched product, and should be removed from the title and GP2X left. Any news so far should go in the other consoles section(and should always have done).

If the XGP mini(which looks belting BTW) if its going to be compatible with the GP32 then it should be added to that section, and moved from this section.

If the Larger 3D product is launched then maybe it should be left with this as they seem awfully similar. Linux based gaming handhelds

ATM they are just concept handhelds of which I personally have seen about 6 here on these forums. Should we have one for each?

It seems a little premature to me. How many false starts have we seen for the XGP?

A bit more meat on the bones would seem to be in order in my mind before another schism.

to early, GamePark may get bankrupt soon for MAKING TO MANY SYSTEMS AT ONCE! *pant pant* So I think stick to what we have and see if the XGP/XGPmini discussions grow.

i say don't split it up. I took what 6 months for some news to come out from the inital "we're making an XGP" news? It will be another 6 months for something new and probably 2 years until its released.

it also says in general xgp/gp2x "talk about the gp2x console"...

The thing is, the gp2x needed a large user base, and a big forum section was made to house it, not like putting talk about gp32/gp2x here. it would be silly.

Considering now that it seems that there are stupid fanboys of the xgp now! DAMN THOSE FANBOYS! any post about the xgp in the gp2x forum will inevitably start a flame.

I think a topic called "XGP TALK" or something like that should be made, and have its own rules like tho shalt not talk off topic. Because, basically, strangers float onto the forum looking up an xgp... then see gp2x... and gph, and gamepark.. and f200 rumours.. any newbie will just ask "whats an xgp?" in a gp2x forum! fair enough, its a good question (im quite fond of it now myself ;) ) but it'll just end up floating round info about the gp2x.
It is probable that more rumors and info is going to start filling the new sites etc, and people are going to start asking more and more and proving more, just like in gp2x.com...

I say make a seperate topic, i mean, you're going to have to do this anyways! So why not stop some flaming in the process by doing it now ;)

again, since the XGP is not something physical yet, why have a seperate section. It should go in the other consoles section as already suggested until it FINALLY comes around, IF IT EVER comes around.

You can't create a whole sub section like general XGP, XGP help, XGP development, when there isn't a system to have general conversation, help, or developement questions. Once its released, IF it gets released, then create the sub sections.

Split, remove, whatever. Just give me a forum where I can read about the console I actually own.

We already have an "other consoles" forum that I can read for stuff like this.

I agree. sections with other shit about what I have yet to own are quite annoying

The current GP2X/XGP section was created several months before the GP2X was released, and nobody had anything to physically hold. Using your argument the GP2X/XGP section shouldn't even have been created until last October.
As I said before, they are currently grouped together because they were both "next gen" consoles, and that section was created so we could talk about what was to come.

Now that the GP2X has been around for awhile why should they XGP be associated with it? The XGP has nothing to do with the GP2X. You could just remove the XGP from that section and be done with it, but there are many people who want to know about it on this forum.
If the XGP had been released before the GP2X people would be wanting the GP2X removing from that section.

You only need to create a new section called "General [XGP/XGPmini]" with two subsections, "General XGP/ XGPmini Talk" and "News zone [XGP/XGPmini]". This is how the "General [GP2X / XGP]" used to be (with the addition of the FAQ section) up until the GP2X was released.

Add me to the vote for an XGP/Mini general section.

We have a separate GP32 section

Then there is the XGP/GP2x section. It is inconsistant. Since the XGP and the GP2X aren't compatible any more than the GP32 and GP2X are I say SPLIT.

There are like *4* separate XGP topics in the forums now and it is getting to be like spam. XGP topics are bumping GP2X ones. This will get worse closer to release. I have a GP2X not a XGP (I don't really even like the XGP) so they are kind of annoying.
