Usually when you need to access truecrypt volume on a computer, you connect the removable media to it, install TrueCrypt, and mount the volume. But in some cases it might be impossible:
- truecrypt volume is on an SD card and the computer doesn't have a card reader
- you don't have administrator rights and truecrypt is not installed
- you need to access your encrypted files on a USB-capable device (e.g. printer/scanner) which runs embedded software
That's where your pandora comes handy. You can start truecrypt on it, mount the volume, then share it over USB as mass storage.
The minor issue with this approach is that pandora only shares mmcXpY devices by default. Here's the fix: grab the attached zip file, put the script from it in /usr/pandora/scripts and select MainMenu->System->SD_mass_storage.
You will be presented with an extended list which includes truecrypt partitions (see screenshot). And it works!
