Skype On Pandora?

Skype is closed-source, and is only compiled for WinCE / WinMo on ARM. Not likely. Your best bet is to email the guys on the skype dev team ONCE THE HARDWARE IS OUT to see if they would support it, but considering the install base it may just look like a waste of time to them.

It's doubtful, knowing the amount of security built into the program (Obfuscation and anti-debugging, not privacy protection). Run it on alternative hardware thats different and it'll probably barf thinking somethings a miss.

Skype would be very hard to get going and quite possibly illegal.

Wengo should be available without too much work though.

Damn, Skype was one of the biggest things I wanted. Oh well.
Well, if your that desperate for it, you could always Remote Desktop or VNC to a local willing PC and run Skype from there :D

One (or more) of the skype wifi phones are arm based. The SMC model (Logitec here in japan) has an arm9 core and runs qtopia. Im sure the source is not available, but the OTHER model SMC offers is almost identicle but is only SIP, no skype. Source is available for that version from what I know.

Actually, I only want the typing-chat features. But I thought there would be a jack which supports mikes anyway, right?

Actually, remote desktop allows you to bring the sound from the remote PC to the one your controlling it from.

There are also programs which would allow you use the Pandora's microphone input as the remote PC's microphone input.

Not so stupid afterall eh? ;)
