I cant search for SDL cos its three letters :p

Any whoo, if someone can confirm this for me that would be super smashing great :D

If I get a serial cable for the 2x can I use it with SDL? (using printf, cout etc)?

Is the output format the same as a PCs, i.e. start bit, data byte, stop bit?

thanks

Use a google search with the modifier (no quotes) "site:www.gp32x.de" and you will get Google results from only the site you want.

These forums are dumb like that with the only search 4 or more letters business, the least they could do is put in a message or Google search function.

Cool, thanks B)

Is the GP2x's serial baud rate software setable?
If so, what baud rates can it do?

Have a look here, it's got all the info you need for making an EXT-> serial cable and the rates you'll need to set to get it working.

On there it only says baud of 115200. Is that the only baud rate the gp2x can do then? I am not wanting to interface with a PC ;)

http://www.computerhope.com/unix/ustty.htm

not sure if it works on the gp2x or not though.

Thanks Brad :D I'll bookmark that page B)

I've just got hold of the datasheet for the CPU and it says the baud is programmable :D So hopefully I can use the above command to set it. If not looks like I'll be able to set it up with assembly code.

Fingers crossed, its looking like I wont need to make special hardware :D :D
