Sega Possibly Re-releasing The Dreamcast

They're available for 1/3 of that offered price online and in many stores, but if it means more official games and more support, it is great news indeed.

It could just be that some 3rd party company is just releasing the hardware again so that all these games that are still being released in japan with have something to play them.

That would just be to great, dreamcast was (and still is) the best "next gen" console in my eyes, it just haves the most appealing games to me.
If they sell bba's for ~50$ or less they are going to sell like hot cakes.

if it means more Dreamcast releases, though I doubt they'd re-release it in the US or UK, i'm for it.

I am a firm believer that the Dreamcast should NOT have been abandoned. Segas own stupidity halted the Dreamcast. It's a great system and i feel if it had lasted a bit longer, could've easily competed with the current generation of systems.

Dreamcast was THE best Sega cosole ever. (I think they knew it was going to be their last) They really saved the best for last. What other console do you know that you can surf the web on? NONE!

PS2, Xbox (kinda).

the Game.com had email capability if that counts.
Well now, if we're including handhelds, add GBA and PSP to the list (and possibly soon, NDS).

Woah, just played Area 5 on Rez. Woah. Like some kind of crazy hard drug trip, but without the whole risk of dying thing.

If you've played the game, you'ld know what I mean.

I'd like to see a dreamcast handheld, apparently there was some Dreamcast on a chip developed not so long ago, so it is possible.

That'd be really impressive. I'd buy that over a GP2X!

<ducks>

WHOA

never really checked out BBAs for this system, as I purchased it towards the end of it's life in America. Im interested now :)

Can anyone supply some linkage to what exactly the BBA does (other than the obvious), and any other misc information on the adapter and internet browser?

I just checked out ebay and those bba's are beasting out at high prices. hot damn

its just a broadband adapater...it just allows you to play online with a cable or DSL connection...I think only a few games worked on it.

With any luck they'll kick out a few more broadband adapters.
Ill be first in line to buy.

In response to DCGM's post, it wasn't only cube, xbox, and ps2 also got that dreadful title.
