Unfortunately for more of the latter than the former, though.
I've always said something similar about musical instruments. I play the ukulele, and I learned on a crap little thing I got for about £40. Once I got good on that instrument, I got my hands on a real instrument, a vintage, 1927 Gibson UB-2 - it cost £800 about four years ago, they're going for nearly twice that now. And I've got a '27 Ludwig Wendell Hall as well; those instruments can't be bettered. But if anyone asks me about it, I'll still tell them to buy the cheapest one they can find and get as good as they can, because crap instruments force you to learn good habits.I remember a story my cousin told me from when he was in a band. When they mixed their music, they'd find the crappiest speakers they could that still worked well to play it on, and worked it until it sounded pretty good on those speakers, because if it sounds good on a pair of crappy speakers, it'll sound awesome on a pair of good speakers; it doesn't necessarily work the other way (if you make it sound awesome on good speakers, it can still end up crappy on crappy speakers).I used to do a lot of sound editing with my friends Grados and because of that even Sennheisers now seem lo-fi.
Yes, but it's advisable to make sure it is a genuine one, otherwise you could damage your unit if there is a fault.Dumb? But a PSP charger works to charge this. Sweet
Short answer: no. You'd best stick with something from a well-known brand, and no higher than Class 6, which should work. Even then there's no *guarantee*, though. If I buy a 64GB SDXC card from Amazon will it definitely work on Pandora?
Aren't Amazon and Ebay the places to NOT by SD cards?Ok, thanks for your realistic opinion. Appreciate it.
Amazon is a trustworthy retailer, but you often can't tell what you might get with third-parties on *any* site.Aren't Amazon and Ebay the places to NOT by SD cards?

The Sandisk class 4 cards are reported to work well.Short answer: no. You'd best stick with something from a well-known brand, and no higher than Class 6, which should work. Even then there's no *guarantee*, though. If I buy a 64GB SDXC card from Amazon will it definitely work on Pandora?
Class 10 cards do work in the pandora, and will work at the rated speed (10 MB/sec).I bout to class 10 32gb cards from newegg. Will those be ok?
So has anyone had proubs with the class 10 cards?Class 10 cards do work in the pandora, and will work at the rated speed (10 MB/sec).I bout to class 10 32gb cards from newegg. Will those be ok?
The risk that you take with the high-speed cards is that some of them draw a lot of power, and are more likely to glitch under heavy load if the voltage isn't completely stable. Whether this will be a problem depends on the card, and many other factors.
Some people have, yes. In general, you don't want anything higher than a Class 6, because the Pandora cannot make use of the the extra speed anyway, and always stick to a reputable brand. So has anyone had proubs with the class 10 cards?
Also, here is why more than Class 6 is excessive. Also worth noting is that a few of us have run into issues with file-corruption with faster cards (Class 6 and Class 10, generally), for some reason. If my memory serves me correctly, the consensus on this is that this is likely to be an issue with the Pandora's SD driver - it's just something to be aware of. I don't believe that anyone using a Class 4 (or below) card has reported this issue, or if they have, I've missed it.
