I was thinking of buying a sd card reader.

Are members using these?

My main purpose would be to transfer data to drop and drag. :D

Any direction would be welcomed.

Cheers.

What? The Pandora IS an SD card reader.

I frequently attach my Pandora in Mass-Storage device mode to my pc to read/write SD cards.

[edit]To clarify:

In XFCE: Menu -> System -> SD-Mass storage

In Minimenu: System-> SD-Mass Storage

Select the proper SD card and click ok.

Connect you Pandora to your PC using a standard-A to mini-B cable. Connect the mini-cable in your USB OTG port.

Your Pandora's SD card will now show up as if it were a regular USB stick.

I was thinking of these 30 in 1 card readers.

Also to transfer data within the desktop without taking the cards out of their respective slots so much.

Does this make sense?

Not really, if you don't want to take the cards out of the slots on the Pandora then why not do what Caine said?

However if you're after a card reader for your desktop PC then just make sure it is SDHC compatible and you're good to go. Something like this one would be fine.

Thank you Caine, this was the obvious and best solution.

I do feel stupid but with more knowledge now

Prior to this knowledge, I was just loading apps via my sd card in my computer's sd card slot.

Cheers.

No problem. You're welcome.

By the way, if you have either WiFi or a USB-ethernet adapter then PNDstore is an even better and simpler way to install and (auto) update software (provided the software is available in the repo).
