I'll take your word for it, but the Pandora TV-out driver is limited to pal or ntsc.Yes, but S-Video is not limited to pal or ntsc it is limited to xga.
Can that be fixed?I'll take your word for it, but the Pandora TV-out driver is limited to pal or ntsc.Yes, but S-Video is not limited to pal or ntsc it is limited to xga.
I have no idea. If the S-Video out standard supports it, and there are no hardware limitations then I guess yes. However, you would need to check with Notaz to be sure. You would also need to find someone willing to update the driver, I don't think it is fair to pile all that work onto Notaz's shoulders. Can that be fixed?
I've bought one of these types - but the output resolution & frequency is not compatible with the SHOWWX which is the reason I bought it!I think I have found what you want! Try this:

I am about to order a couple... very useful and a great price. I'll let you know how well it works!
Of course this will still be at PAL/NTSC resolution, just upscaled... but it is still useful. I'm also going to be using it to use my megadrive on a PC monitor.
EDIT: There are lots of similar coverters available. Some are cheaper from US, e.g.:

Beware, some are VGA to svideo/composite... make sure you get one that converts the right way!
Yes, but S-Video is not limited to pal or ntsc it is limited to xga. If you have a computer with an SVideo port and an hdtv u can test this.
so pal seems not working... anyway if the pandora can use ntsc and it works is better than nothing
I know one of the later hotfix 6 updates made it so you didn't need to wire in a capacitor for composite to work properly? Are you using the latest and greatest hotfix?

Oh really? That's cool. Where can I find info on this?
Doing parts shopping tonight anyhow, as I decided to mod my megadrive with a PAL-50/PAL-60/NTSC-60 switch and circuit... hopefully it will then work with the converter!

Think it was partially mentioned here.
Also in the EXT connector thread here.
Currently the only way is to build your own or have some one do it for you.. These connectors are small and require fairly decent soldering skills.. Link's shop still sells the EXT connector and PC board (TinyBoB) to make your own.
