All this mess courtesy of Macron and Mélenchon. Congratulations to them.
We will never forget.

The same happened in Milano, Italy. I'm curious when this will start in Germany. I guess Berlin would be the first city. The clientele fits the mold.

Let me guess - not a single book store was looted?

Not sure what Mélenchon had to do with this.

Thoughts and prayers for the families of the burnt garbage containers and broken windows.

When I arrived this morning, she was telling what happened to her to journalists. She owns a bar near République, center of Paris.
She locked herself in her bar, iron curtains down. The rioters managed to lift it and came inside by tens.
They punched her and what looked like her husband, robbed, then burnt the place. It's a building where people live upstairs, maybe children.
Two firetrucks were also burnt in this area.
There is also reports of violent home jackings near there, I talked to a direct witness.

Hi-res pictures below:

Revolution against what?

I was under the impression it was done by "the French youth", according to the news. Due to crowded schools.

Although the looting and burning stuff was done by the "looting" group was mentioned on the news.

I assume all the broken stuff is now used as materials to build news schools, problem solved? /s

We - as in the Christian, Conservative - have a problem.

If media and activists let people think the government should fix all their problems, safe the world, give everybody free stuff even without working and they shouldn't have to respect property rights because of inequality and make them think companies are all evil, this is what you get.

Incredible what is happening in France. They used to call Beirut the Paris of the Middle East before war. Hope that Paris will not turn into Beirut of Europe and this will end.

We - as in the Christian, Conservative - have a problem.

First, students are probably right in complaining. The government has been spending less and less on education and it feels like the bottom has been hit.
But why dont they spend more? Because there is no money left, and each time the government tries to reduce spending the country revolts in mass protest.
Why is there no money left? Because French people have good social security, nice health-care and pensions. And don't forget subsidizing companies so people get hired in the first place: https://www.theguardian.com/comment...crisis-business-government-collapse-austerity
France is in a debt-spiral and if that cycle isn't broken this situation will get worse and worse. Luckily they are in the EU so they can travel to their neighbor and settle there peacefully: https://www.firstpost.com/explainer...belgium-portugal-albania-europe-14053776.html
