Hi everybody,
my name is Tim, I am working as PhD student at Hamburg University of Technology. The topic of my thesis is the evolution of open source industries. I spent a lot of time reading in this forum the last 1.5 years, but next to this kind of research, it would be great if I could interview community members about their experience with this forum and open source gaming.
These interviews would last 20 minutes max., of course everhing would be anonymous and I would be happy to share the results of my work when I am done.
It would be a really great if you would give me your point of view, so if it was ok for you to have a short talk with me, just send me a message or email me at tim.schweisfurth(at)tuhh.de.
My sincere thanks and best regards,
Tim

P.S.: below you find some more info about our research

Just reading the topic and your mention that youve read the boards (how far in the past did you go?), wouldnt you have key people in mind that you should target for an interview?
At least that seems the approach that I think would happen with historical research. For example you get a bunch of random people that only joined when the pandora came out you would be missing out on 2 generations of devices.

Hi Pickle,
I've pretty much started from the beginning on with Gamepark and the establishment of GPH. Of course I focused especially on the general evolution of the industry, not so much on topics that were too technical.
As you suggested, I will also try to contact some people directly, but by posting here in the forum I want make sure not to exclude anyone, so I am happy for everyone I can talk to.
Best regards, Tim
