Recieved My Gp2x...scratched

It's not like i'm stupid, you really cannot tell that the protective layer is on there....

I mean, usually when buying a portable, i'm not used to seeing things scratched and be covered in fingerprints...

So yeah, as I said, they should throw a tab on there so people will see it, especially if it's going to get all scratched (although a in good shape one would be nice, as a screen protector would be prefered.....

yeah. it got me too, when I got mine. i think i just picked at it in a sort of vain hope that the scratches weren't really on the screen itself, and just maybe there was some kind of removable invisible layer and... tadaa!

maybe its gph's idea of a little joke.

I luckily had been reading the forums and had a good idea where the little invisible fecker was.
Still looked bad at first, but joy when it peeled back.
Ooer, I think that prossie and vicar are back!

its not that hard to see :| am i the only one whos ever had an electronic device with a vinyl coating on the screen?

I've had my gp2x a week or so after they came out. I removed the film from the gp2x and always thought the screen protector was scratche. After reading this topic I removed the film from the screen protector to find I now have a perfect screen.

there's been a fair amount of hot-headed threads complaining about this, it is an odd coincidence that you did not read any until now ;)

they could paint the layer black, but there will still be some morons who dont notice it. "help me my screen is all black, its faulty, you suck omfg".
Seriously, RTFM

Seriously, where is it written in the fuckng manual? Don't be so mean, it's bad for your karma :)

Hmm, I know the GP2X is like, a hackers handheld and everything, but still I wonder- some assembly required? I don't quite get GPHs logic in getting customers to fit the screen cover rather than have it done when they're made... save them a fortune in protective vinyl for the screen protectors ;) (OK, so the people they buy the screen protectors off in the first place are probably the ones who put them on)

Anyway yeah :)

I agree with the Tintin guy, why bother making you fit your own screen cover? You'll only get dust in it. It can't be too hard for them to attach them beforehand, and it'd save them a fortune in vinyl and double-sided tape.
