You know, I always thought those official "rechargeable" packs were akin to buying Dasani water.
Why? Because when you buy Dasani water, you buy something which could be gotten by turning on the tap; it's not even spring water and there are no good minerals in it as they are all filtered out by the Coca-Cola Company.
When you buy Dasani water, you are buying a cheap product at an over-inflated price and are helping fill Coca-Cola's over-inflated company pockets by doing so.
When you buy a rechargeable battery pack for your GBA, you are buying a product which could be gotten cheaper at Radioshack. You will never be able to use those official "batteries" on anything but your GBA, and you're helping to fill Nintendo's company pockets by doing so. Now, really, why do you think those "warning" pages that come with your GBA warn you against using "unofficial" rechargeable batteries in your system?
Well, that's my little rant. Now you all know why I don't drink Dasani water or use official rechargeable packs.
P.S. If you don't believe what I say about Dasani water, visit this webpage:

That product can be hazardous to your health. <_<
