Hi everyone
Just been checking out Qemu. There's something pretty spectacular about seeing old Windows firing up on the Pandora! I followed the configuration and installation instructions in the Wiki as best I could but I just can't find a way to sort these few niggles. I ran the actual installations on Windows under Qemu Manager then transferred the image to the Pandora, hoping that it might solve the few hardware auto-detection issues I noticed.
Anyway I have some quick questions about hardware detection and drivers.
In Windows 98 (SE) I have the following warnings in Device Manager:
- Secondary IDE controller (dual fifo)
- PCI Ethernet
- PCI Bus I have 2 entries, one with a warning the other not
Also the CD/ISO image isn't recognised, I think probably down to the secondary IDE controller above.
In Windows 95 I have the following warnings in Device Manager:
- Cirrus Logic display
- Standard floppy disk controller
- Plug & play BIOS
And also I've noticed that touchscreen is offset from the corresponding mouse pointer in emulation.
Anyone else noticed these and found a fix for any of them?
It's been a long time since I've had to deal with all the old Windows driver problems.
Cheers, B
