I'm kind of surprised that PyWright hasn't received a cease and desist notification. Oh well, looks cool, thanks for porting.

How good are the stories?

I'm testing this out, but I get a "Vera.ttf" IOError: unable to read font filename

I fixed that using an mkdir fonts and a symlink, however, the new version of python just spews it out now... unable to start (TypeError: integer argument expected, got float)

Thanks for testing and noticing...

Unfortunately i don't have free time and energy to do more work on this and other Pandora related works, cause work and real life.

If you want (and have time) to fix this PND please do...i could add you as mantainer.

I might be able to take a look at this. The float error could be resolved simply by wrapping up the call with an int() cast (except it's not really a cast in Python, but still). Though it might be worth understanding why it's getting a float if it's only expecting an int.

ive been pondering around with this for a while some time ago. the easy way would be to bundle pre 2.7 python with it. might do so if time allows.

Okay, tried to reproduce this bug and so far I've been unable to. Here's what I've done:

Download PyWright

Start it to create it's appdata folder

(It doesn't quit at this point)

Tried some of the examples ('badger', 'investigation_menu' and '3d test', the latter of which didn't seem to work, but not crash)

Quit PyWright by going into Settings and quitting from there

Downloaded Turnabout Substitution from the link to games in the OP.

Unrar'ed it to my appdata/PyWright/games folder with full paths.

Run PyWright, and selected Turnabout Substitution as the Game to play.

Played through to the end of the first scene, and partially into the investigation menu thing in the next scene.

Ran fine, other than a few minor graphical glitches, and it didn't crash on me. Running SZ 1.60+, including Python 2.7.3.
