Wally I am a banana! Dec 25, 2012 #3 To prevent massive spambot user creations (yeah, we had that issue...), you need a password to register a new user. Click to expand... Its only supposed to be for "New Users" not for existing users. It comes up when I hit "Submit"

EvilDragon Administrator Staff member Jan 7, 2013 #5 I think a creation of a new page also needs a password, afair.

comradekingu Glowing ember Dec 19, 2013 #8 Didnt ask me anything for making a page nor editing it. I saved the page first with no content. Cant recall having been asked my password, but the again that is in a cookie. Which password is required, the no-spam one, or your account pass? Edit: Maybe its because you arent on the list of active users ? Last edited by a moderator: Dec 19, 2013

levi Still fresh, damnit! Dec 20, 2013 #9 I only have to put in that password when adding a new link to a page. Granted, that's quite a lot of the time, but I can understand why it's needed. If I'm just fixing a typo it's never asked me for it.

comradekingu Glowing ember Dec 20, 2013 #10 I added a link no questions asked, internal and external.
levi Still fresh, damnit! Dec 20, 2013 #11 Perhaps something's changed then. It's been a while since I've done any wiki work.
