Hey guys,

Recently I tried to access the root terminal on my Pandora, and it asked for a password. I entered my administrative password and it wouldn't accept it.

I also tried reinstalling the OS twice and setting up a brand new, fresh Pandora install, still no dice.

EDIT: I am using Hotfix4.

Is it not accessible, did I forget my password, any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

By default you can't login as root, similar way as Ubuntu does it (or did?).

Just do "sudo su" instead, and change the password if you need traditional root account.

I'm having the same problem as above. I've tried typing in the sudo su thing and all it does is ask for a password. Also, when it asks for the password, it wont let me type anything. all it lets me do is hit enter. how can i get around or fix this?

The output is blanked to avoid someone to see the length of your password.

Sometimes It takes post like these that remind me how odd the Unix/Linux based world is to people who don't use it everyday.
