Wonder how much bigger the filesizes will be for that extra fps...?
I think the bitrate limit will still be the same, as the limiting factor is the read rate off the SMC card. So you can get more frames, but the quality of each will have to be lower. I'm not sure though, does anyone no the data rate from the SMC card?

The SMC's limit is 3.5 meg / sec. I'm sure the GP32 doesn't transfer NEARLY that fast though...

Assuming it goes on the Korean website at midnight - only just over an hour and a half to go now. (midnight in Korea is at 4:00pm British Summer Time).

Or maybe I'm just being optimistic :D

i'm in japan, and its 10:30. assuming it comes at midnight, we are almost there.

What if u look on a movie wich have 24 frames/sec will it fry your gp 32?
"Not recomended" If u fry your gp32 it's because of the progra and not the movie and it would be there's fault or?

Overclocking your GP32 above 132MHz is a bad idea - it can damage your LCD screen and generally mess it up. Don't do it if you don't want to mess up Gp32.

its says that it goes up to 160mhz, which will fry the gp32.

off topic a bit:
in the documents section of gp32news.com there is one that is called ects 2002 (or something). the 2nd or 3rd picture shows the gp32 connected to a tv BUT the cable running from the gp32 to the tv is a ribbon cable (TONS mor wires) which means that it is giving the tv a digital (probobly) signal to the "tv" NOT a normal composite! <_<

right, at the moment im using a 64Meg SMC on loan from GBAX.com, simply because there was no 128MB SMC in stock, but i am going to be sent one as soon as they come in, but i was wondering, if i was to buy this new DivX player and install it on this SMC, will i have to buy the program again when i get my new 128MB SMC?? or will it work on that as well?? Cant wait to watch episodes of the Simpsons between serving people at work! lol :D

urbangangsta101,

The software is encoded to your GP32 not the SMC. You will be just fine with it on the 64mb provided you keep the original PC download to reinstall on the new card.
