and the changelog
VERSION 0.96a

Noticeable changes
* uade have *STOPPED* working for the moment (working on it, slowly)
* Updated version of GME.
* Sorted file lists (not coded that well, but works)
* Fixed bug in controls
* xm songs now working (some bugs left)
* mtm songs now working (big bugs left)
* okt songs now working (i think)
* Fixed one or two other bugs
* Changed theme and fonts default folder to ./theme

Internal changes
* Cleaned up code various places
* Reworked the folder structure of the sources
* Made more things into libraries
* Probably ruined stuff for non-gp2x versions, but haven't bothered compiling for anything else
* Probably introduces quite a few bugs :(

I guess most work have gone into trying to get everything to work as version 0.95. I also wanted to update uade, which turned out to alot of work, so atm i haven't fixed it.
If you don't use the amiga formats (at least not those who aren't supported through libmodplug then this is with no doubt a downgrade)

I'm also need in tracked music in more obscure formats, namely these;
# .669: UNIS 669, 669 Composer modules
# .AMF: Asylum / DSMI modules
# .AMS: Velvet Studio AMS 1.x modules
# .DBM: DigiBooster Pro modules
# .DSM: DSIK internal format modules
# .FAR: Farandole Composer modules (beta)
# .MDL: DigiTracker 1.x modules
# .MOL: Module lists, compatible with MOD4WIN
# .MTM: MultiTracker modules
# .NST: NoiseTracker modules
# .PTM: PolyTracker modules
# .STM: ScreamTracker II modules
# .ULT: UltraTracker modules
# .UMX: Music files from Unreal Engine 1 games (essentially one of the above formats in an additional container)
# .WOW: Grave Composer modules

If you happen to have any songs in the other formats that modplug supports which aren't working on the gp2x, i'll take those as well!

Wow, I thought I'd never see an update for this program again!! Thank you so much!! :eek: I've got some older formatted songs hanging around in my collection.. I'll see if I can find the stuff you need.

Game Music Emulator (which oldplay uses) doesn't seem to like vgz.
The extracted version (vgm) works fine though. I'm gonna email blargg about it later.
The other formats works fine (and does in the older versions as well).

Hi again. Just thought i'd let you guys in on some update:
to the next release there will be support for AY, KSS, HES, NSFE, VGZ as well as M3u files for all game music formats. (those mentioned + vgm, gym, spc, nsf)
There will also be seeking(+ - 10 seconds) in single tune game music files as well as fake stereo effects for game music files with mono sound.
Note* no support for FM in vgm/vgz
All game music files now got somewhat of a length set so you'll be able to use them in a playlist without manually changing them.

I also have a temporary fix for (at least some) xm files which gets trashed sample data atm;
add the line
echo 2 > /proc/cpu/alignment
in the oldplay.gpu script (before it launches oldplay of course)
and potentially
echo 0 > /proc/cpu/alignment
afterwards to set it back to default (it returns to default when the gp2x is restarted either way)
I'm working to get rid of a few bugs and fix a couple of things before i release the next version
