Interesting. We definitely need more GP32's on this site. ;)
I'm still impressed that there already IS one there... Someone from this board?
...but read the line at the very bottom :(

"AND CONGRATS TO NOKIA FOR THE n-GAGE, the COOLEST HAND GAMING ON THE PLANET!! PROBABLY"

Total lies... :( lies! LIES!!!

:D

BTW, there is another girl with a GP32 on there right now; page 5, I think. Do GP32s attract women?!

If they do, I'm returning mine to Play Asia because it's defective.

Well, I have to say, that's been possibly the worst handheld I've ever had the misfortune to play Tombraider on. Ok, granted, the screen wasn't quite as small as I was expecting. But with a lag of around a second between pressing the direction and Lara doing anything, I doubt many will buy this system short of a massive re-write of any 3D code they're using. And add to that the fact that it not only played slowly, but looked fairly terrible (untextured disjointed polygons, almost akin to the games that tried to get around the 4-colour sprite limit on a NES badly and resulted in lots of gaps in characters) and you've got what I consider to be the console that's the biggest joke I've ever come across...

INCLUDING the various disasters that killed SEGA...

I don't know, man. Can you honestly say that N-Gage even approaches touching the horrible failure of the Virtual Boy?

The N-Gage is definitely inexcusibly flawed. I tried one at a gamestop and couldn't even launch the pitiful one game it held. It's really too bad because I wanted to like it. Maybe if red faction comes out and the unit falls below $100 and has ghost recon and works with verizon, maybe then...

Hold the phone how on earth can you say that the graphics are bad they are by far the best seen on any handheld ;)

Sega makes darn good consoles. It also made a couple of complete wash-outs after the Genesis which essentially killed it - those are the ones I'm referring to.

And the nGage really doesn't have the best graphics on any handheld. Our version of Doom looks and plays a few thousand times better than it's of TR. That said, TR was the only game I played, so who knows? Perhaps the others are good. I doubt it though...

Hi, been away for a while but I am back now,

MP3 is reasonable. Plays all bitrates. But I prefer AAC.
The player itself is flawed because you can not fast forward. This is escpecially annoying when listening to RetroGamingRadio (3 hour MP3).

After having the n-gage for almost a month now I think the best way to sum it up is: Jack of all trades, master of none.

For me as a daily commuter (3 hours a day) it the ideal device. In one small package I got a:
  • Radio
    MP3 player
    ngage games
    series 60 games
    java games
    XHTML internet access
    WAP access
    Email
    Ebook reader
    PDF reader
    RealOne Movie player
    Memo recorder
    Phone
So as a all-in-one it is a great device, but as a games console....no it's just a souped up phone.

I hope you're not referring to the Sega Saturn or the Sega Dreamcast - they were decent consoles IMO. I still enjoy Street Fighter Zero 1/2/3 on my Saturn and Guardian Hero's was a fine side-scrolling beat em up. And don't get me raving about the Dreamcast (blood pressure starts rising!).

The 32X was a bit of a half arsed go between I suppose. I'll give you that one! :)
