Ouch! That's not goodShame that the larger screen completely mongs up the graphics of most games- stretching them far beyond the point where they look good.

I will confirm when I pass by there later but, I do remember the stickers read, "trade-in any DS or 3DS". Which IMO, sound like they want to replace all the old DSs that a lot of people are probably attached for the new XL.Actually, to my knowledge the $100 offer is only for a OG 3DS trade in. I'm not sure, but I believe they give less for any of the earlier DS models.I didn't have time yesterday so, maybe today I will run by there. I doubt a lot people will trade their DS lite though. That thing is precious and a classic, most likely those who have a DSi or OG 3DS. I think that is what the promotion is mostly for anyway.I was at my local gamestop yesterday and they have the 3DS XL boxes with promotion stickers on them that you can exchange any DS or 3DS and get $100 off when you buy one. Don't know if that was just for pre-orders though, and I didn't ask but, that sound like a very good deal. I'll have to go back and find out for sure.

Thats probably gonna be a bit of an issue for a lot of the third party games thats already out. Their graphics are always subpar compared to the first party games by Nintendo. That might change with new releases.Shame that the larger screen completely mongs up the graphics of most games- stretching them far beyond the point where they look good. Rayman Origins is a particularly good example of a gorgeous game rendered muddy crap by it.
Rayman Origins was one of the only games that looked like complete and utter crap on the regular 3DS screen, so looking bad on the 3DS XL is no suprise. You know if you hold down the "Start" button when you launch any DS games it renders them at 1:1 right? So now instead of the image being stretched out(and slightly blurred), it now shows it as it was intended. Some games I like the bigger image, so sometimes I use this option and sometimes I don't.Rayman Origins is a particularly good example of a gorgeous game rendered muddy crap by it.
Cool, how are you enjoying it? Glad to see you where able to get in on the GS deal. I still need to list mine on Ebay, but I've been lazy for the last week. LOLPick up 3DS XL today with the $100 exchange credit from the old 3DS, I only paid $108.85

It's in my pocket to use as I go about my day. I spend all night tickeribng with it, setting up, getting whatever updates and demos, etc. So far I'm loving it. It's a huge improvement over the last two models and just a couple of apps short of a tablet.Cool, how are you enjoying it? Glad to see you where able to get in on the GS deal. I've been using mine every day so far. A real big improvement over the OG for sure. The speakers are the only things I can really slam, and they aren't to bad, just worse than the originals. Although Nintendo has stated that they had to use smaller speakers, the sound levels appear to be contolled thru software, as DS and ambassador games appear to be way louder than 3DS games, so hopefully over time, the sound can be improved with a later FW update.
Overall I'm very satisfied and I don't believe I could ever go back to those smaller screens again. Now we just need some better colors to be released.

I can't help but feel that Nintendo are running out of "IDEAS", period!I can't help but feel that Nintendo are running out of name ideas.
Yes, BUT they are certainly turning out some excellent games based on their very old, solid gold ideas!I can't help but feel that Nintendo are running out of "IDEAS", period!
