hello

with neogeo games, would it be possible to choose the neogeo type of machine to run games between arcade (mvs) or console (aes)???

for certain games it is appreciable to have the console mode for example in games such as kof 2000 we can have a training mode that can't be available in mvs mode.

I dont know but I imagine a good emulator should be able to do this.Think most neo geo games were arcade perfect, more or less.Anyhow welcome to the forums.

I assume it depends on the emulator ported for it. If The original emu offered the ability to switch (some did) then the Pandora version probably would too. I think Final Burn only does MVS but I could be wrong.

The AES and MVS versions of games are identical, it is the BIOS which dictates which mode the game should run in.

Most Neo Geo emulators have an option to switch between MVS or AES mode. If the emulator in question doesn't have such a mode you could always use the Universe BIOS created by Razoola, which, amongst other things allows you to change the mode the Neo Geo is running in.

yes, but my question is: emulators available for neogeo on the pandora (see this link http://pandorawiki.org/Projects_Under_Development#Emulators ) mame4all and gngeo, have they this switch option you're talking about????

Current version of gngeo have this option, next one should also support it. I still think the best option is to use the universal bios anyway.

While I'm waiting for my pandora, if a dev want to try a quick port, a new devel version of gngeo is available via mercurial: http://developer.berlios.de/hg/?group_id=6986

Excelent news! Thanks pepone.

I love me some neogeo. I always wanted the console as a kid but it was way out of my (and most everyones) price range.
