How portable can the 2X be with the bob and the portable HD and all the other stuff attached to it? You'll need a breifcase for it all... *scratches head*

Gippex? In conversation, once they realise it's called the GP2X, I just call it the 2X, which comes out as "Tooex".

8GB SD cards exist but are around £300+

You don't think they will work in the GP2X?
Really? And they're regular SDs, not HCSD (or SDHC or whatever)? I thought they reached the wall 4 gigs. Proves me wrong, then.

I BELIEVE SD HAS A MAXIMUM CAPACITY OF 32GBS SO IT MAY HAPPEN.
I think it's actually 32Gb's or 4GB's. ;)

Capacity limit in all SD/MMC formats appears to be 128 GB in LBA mode (28-bit sector address).

Wikipedia...

Devote yourself.

The Gmini is the God-in-your-pocket device. Built-in camera now, woohoo! Seriously, for video/audio on the go, Archos owns. Get the AV500 series if you want the bigger screen (believe me, those screens look small, but they are amazingly satisfying when you actually sit down to watch a movie on them.)

100 Gigs of movies in your pocket, anyone??? Hmm??

But not everyone has $700+ to spend on something like that.

$700?! The fattest flagship AV700 model is > $600

The supersleek GMini 402 is just over $300

?!

I've long been an advocate of HD-based handhelds, they simply give the goods. The only reason I got my GP was because it does emulation so well. If the PMA 400, my first love, had the horsepower it ought to have had, the GP would be moot (but I am really happy with it, regardless).
