I am the king of the collectors, with hospital bed
Here's the story:
1. Recieved GP2X for my birthday in April 2006. Bought from GP32Z.
2. Time passes, GP2X well loved.
3. Battery springtab weakens and snaps off.
4. A small piece of tinfoil is used a replacement. Works well for a while.
5. GP2X gets more and more unstable. Stops working with a bump.
6. Starts up about 40% of the time, acts like it has a bad battery connection or low battery the rest.
7. Battery life slightly reduced when successfully used.
I think that since the battery seems to be getting good contact, the voltage regulator(s) might be failing. What do you people think? Should I send it in for repair and get the tab (and regulator(s) and missing stick cap and missing headphone port cover) fixed?
Or do I just need better tinfoil?
