It is my understanding that the Pandora's WiFi driver does not yet support ad-hoc connections. If memory serves, said driver it has its origins in code meant for mobile telephones, which of course are highly unlikely to need that feature.
You could setup your PC as an access point as long as your network card supports master mode (that's what it's referred to on my debian install anyway).
