here the video of the Dpad test from MWeston youtube account

the video shows the use of the Dpad in street fighter doing special moves (Hadouken's)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i_O2xdS05Lw

Just fulfilling a request for some dpad action showing gaming control to be easy and repeatable.

people seem to be having problems with the video so here a download link to the .mp4 file

I can only see first 17 seconds. Non-HQ version gives only an error :(

D-pad seems to work well for hadokens though :)

EDIT: working link

here another video of Quake 2 with dual nubs going

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8bLDbvxRFSM

Fulfulling another request for some Quake 2 action with dual nub support. If there is a better way to play such a game on a handheld, I know not of it! :)
Clock = 500MHz

Big thanks as usual MWeston. As long as you can pull off 2 fire balls in a row without your fingers bleeding I'm happy.
I was always surprised that SF2 played so well with a joypad, It was designed to be played with an arcade stick after all :)

oh man that quake 2 video got me all nostalgic. getting the "oh shit!"s when those big bladey guys some out of nowhere and switching to something nice and over powered so that i dont die.

its gonna be an awesome experience :D

:8 i'll have to wait for 2 batch

that quake2 action seems superb
that with some fast ad-hock network play would be awesome.

(owww i remembered here around doesnt seems to be any other panda pre-orderer and i no longer own mine)

D-Pad looks too 'clicky' for my liking. On the SNES pad I could hit the QCF movement around 95-98% of the time because it was more 'spongy'. He seems to hit it 60-70%. But that could be due to a few things so I'll reserve judgement for now. It mind just need a bit of use, Dual Shock d-pads are a lot better after they've been used for a bit. It might be because it's not final hardware. Or MWeston might just be rubbish as SF. So I'll just wait and see.

Mind you, fighting games aren't really what I'm getting the Pandora for anyway so hopefully it'll be good enough for other genres which are less demanding of d-pad accuracy.

It's gonna be really nice to play Marathon on Pandora, it wasn't designed to be played with a mouse so you don't have to look around so much. Mmmm... dual pistols and dual shotguns with 2 trigger buttons :)

Yeah, also looking forward to Marathon, although the video Pickle uploaded did have some bad fps drops :|

Thanks for the vids, but man does Quake 2 run slow in some parts! Whats up with that? It should run much faster, like in other vids. I know you downclocked to 500mhz, but geez! It should still run it much better then that. Was XFCE used to launch Quake 2?
