Terminally lost
So now the case is go the thing that determines when the first batch will be shipped. How is the progress of the first batch, is it still done in sub batches of about 400? and what timeline are we looking at?
WizardStan said:All through November Craigix said that the boards were to be finished by the end of November, and never mentioned anything about delays on that front.

We might need them before if the boards are finished on time.
Good thing it's looking like we will get them (the first 1000) late next week. Fingers crossed.
Well, they'll probably be ready as they are making them so this shouldn't slow things down too much.calc84maniac said:Well actually, quote from Dec 3:

You realise that he said that last week so that means they could be ready this week, in a few days as today is Wednesday.WizardStan said:BLAST!calc84maniac said:Well actually, quote from Dec 3:

It had something to do with them not wanting the boards to sit around collecting dust for weeks before the cases were finished I think.MooTheKow said:Anyone know why they didn't finished the boards while waiting through the several months of delays on the case?
Because its not done that way. There has to be a certain flow in production. You don't produce a shitload of Boards and park them in the basement for future use.MooTheKow said:Anyone know why they didn't finished the boards while waiting through the several months of delays on the case?

They had to build and test the 105 first... which they did. So what's the problem?MooTheKow said:mali said:Because its not done that way. There has to be a certain flow in production. Not trying to be inflammatory here - but why not? Don't they have all the parts to populate the boards and such just sitting around waiting?
Well, one would have to be more familiar with that stuff. There are several factors, I suppose. Booking factories, production time, storage, transport, management, etc. Each component needs an amount of money and the logistic should be optimized in a way to lead to an acceptable result at an optimum pricepoint.MooTheKow said:Not trying to be inflammatory here - but why not?
