OK, so i have the original versions of monkey island 1 and 2, and i installed them on my GP32. Everything works fine, except for the incredibly annoying copy protection thing at the beginning, which means you have to look stuff up in the manual everytime you start the game. Does anyone know how to get around that?

Hmm so you own the original copies eh? sure doesnt sound like it. Just use the manual u lazy bastard.
dude, im not gonna carry around the manual of a game just to play it. on the PC it just starts with the game itself.

I just enter whatever and it's fine.
On the "copy" that I "bought" you just mash A, B, L, R and joypad and it accepts whatever you type...

This is because of the scummvm guys decided to disable copy protection, since it would never work properly in scummvm. Just enter anything.

I believe that mash is not the optimal solution. Hold R, and press Up repeatedly until all spaces are filled in. :)

the Mac release doesn't have the copy protection, but I don't get any voices.

AFAIK there aren't any voices in Monkey Island 1 and 2. I don't think there were voices until later games that came on CD, like DOTT and Sam&Max.
