Media Player Functionality?

Like I mentioned in my previous post, borrowing from the interface to Canola would definitely be smart for any developer of a media app.
I just scanned the features page for Canola, and I almost started drooling (figuratively). Someone better port that if it isn't the official media player. :D

The interface is pretty, if you're into that sort of thing. The codec and container support is abysmal though.

All you really need for a perfect media player are about 5 buttons, a position slider, and support for every AV codec and container known to man. That's why I'll be happy with either VLC or Mplayer.

When I moved to Gentoo, I didn't theme my desktop for two months. When I finally did, it felt... better. It really did.

So, yes, I am into pretty interfaces. I love a good bash terminal, but at the same time I'll take a warm, friendly UI as well. It makes you happy you turned the device on, to put it Microsoft's words for the XP startup sound. :)
