Zib is another frontend in development. http://pandorapress....2009/01/07/266/ (old post)
One thing I wonder is, Zib, just like the two multiplayer interfaces, are things that haven't been updated in a long time... I wonder if any of them are still in development or abandoned.
That's where stalking comes in handy. Aimless_E last posted in his Zib thread a month ago, and was last active on the boards only a few days ago.

That's just the basics. I've done some wonderful dev stalking in the last few months. :D
Except, you have to agree the topics haven't been updated, regardless if the the person reads the forum. For those three. we have no idea if the projects are still in the works...

Will they ever create a master emulator that plays them all... (like a 10 in 1)

It's impossible to play "them all". However 10 in one is already possible when you think of MAME or the multiple computer emulators. PicoDrive I think emulates at least 3 things. (and will at some point emulate 32X as well)

Far from impossible. I was working on something like this for the PSP for a top secret project, all the emulators were hacked to accept a single file, then I had a menu that listed all the ROMs which would just fire up the proper executable and load it. It gets messy with saved states, was working on a fix when the project was scrapped.

I'm just trying to understand how this is different than having a front end, it doesn't sound like one emulator to me, just a single interface to multiple ones

It is basically just a front end. I never said it wasn't.

I don't think the OP intended he wanted an emulator that was possible to run completely different systems from the same code...
In that case I think you missed the point off the 1st posts you quoted. Sorry for the mis understanding. Yea, front ends have been mentioned and linked to in this thread.

Closest would be MESS.

Wow! Mess would save a lot of time and digging. Do you think it will work on the Pandora?

MESS is a veritable jack of all trades, master of none. The optimistically titled web page here indicates it. Naturally this is coming from a strong MESS supporter, so it's going to be slanted in that direction. In fact, most of the platforms which it lists MESS as having "no equal" for are a load of crap, especially TurboGrafx 16/SuperGrafx, Genesis..

Actually I now feel pissed off having visited that site again ;p

Still, MESS is useful for some obscure platforms, but not an awful lot. One thing going against it running on the Pandora it is that some of its developers don't have much of a performance philosophy. While I'm sure it'll be fast enough to run at least a lot of the platforms it supports less efficient does mean worse battery life.

Hmm, I suppose a nice frontend would work for something like this, though I suspect the OP was hoping for something along the lines of LJP (Little John Portable). It's actually a rather practical example of an emulator for multiple systems all in one, it does Genesis, SNES, Atari 2600, etc. all very well, in one simple package. You need a Palm to use it, but hey, it's good.

random, but how do you change your avatar/member/profile name?
...

i don't think you can change your profile name. you'd have to ask a mod to do that. if you go under "my settings" and then go to "profile" there should be some options on the side for things like avatars, signatures, about me, etc.
